Trophy and promo art

I was approached by the guys at Team Rock to create the promotional artwork and trophy design for the inaugural Prog Awards. The event was held at the very English Kew Gardens. With this in mind the brief was to depict it as a very English country garden feel. In addition to this I also had to be mindful of the fact that my artwork was also going to be made into the trophy. The awards themselves were hosted by the award winning journalist and news anchor, Gavin Esler and I was happy to say that the likes of Trevor Horn, Peter Gabriel, Mike Rutherford and a host of other music royalty now have the trophies adorning their mantlepiece, well, or they have some unusual doorstops for their loos or boudoirs!

The artwork itself was created using a mix of vector drawings, photographs and digital airbrushing. It took me around ten days to complete. I was delighted to say that the client was pleased with the work and it has been re-licensed for several years on the trot.
