Style icons - The anglepoise

For this commission I was asked to create an abstract piece that stylistically showed one of a series of "style icons" of industrial design and I was lucky enough to get to work on the anglepoise. For this piece I used bold coloured vector images. I initially created many sketches in order to 'weave' this piece together. There are some slightly crazy elements in here including a door in a hill with sun rays behind it, a grinning mouth with a gold tooth and a great big letter A.
